What are some of the qualities of a good parent? Use specific details and examples to explain your answer.
I am fortunate to have good parents, so it is easy for me to identify the qualities that make them good. These qualities are unconditional love, trust, and respectf or me and my brothers and sisters.
All parents love their children, but not all love is unconditional. Some parents would not love their children if they married someone of a different religion or ethnic group. Some parents would not love their children if they had a different sexual orientation. My parents would. My parents love us no matter what choices we make for ourselves.
The part of unconditional love is trust. My parents trust us to do what is right. They know we would never do anything to harm them. They trust us, so we trust them. We know they won't hurt or mistreat us.
Because our parents love us, they also respect us. They treat us as individuals. They accept our differences. They do not expect us to be like them. They want us to make our own way in the world, not follow in their footsteps.
Without my parents' love, I would not feel confident. Without their trust, I would not feel free to do what I want. Without their respect, I would not feel comfortable on my own. All children should have such wonderful parents!

Some people believe that the Earth is being harmed (damaged) by human activity. Others feel that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live.What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
The quality of human life has improved greatly over the past few centuries, but Earth is being harmed more and more by human activity. As we develop our technology, we use more and more natural resources and cause more and more pollution. As our population grows, we destroy more and more natural areas in order to expand towns and cities. The Earth is being harmed, and this harms people as well. 
We often act as if we have unlimited natural resources, but this isn't true. If  we cut down too many trees to build houses and make paper, not all the trees will grow back. If we catch too many fish, the fish population will get smaller and smaller. If we aren't careful about how we use our natural resources, we will lose many of them. We are already losing some.
We don't seem to pay attention to the amount of pollution human activity can cause. Our cars pollute the air. Our factories pollute both the air and the water. We throw our waste into rivers and streams. We act as if the air and water can clean themselves up, but they can't.
As urban populations grow, the cities grow too, taking over more and more land. New houses, stores, and office buildings are built all the time. Land that was once forest or farms is now parking lots and apartment buildings. We seem to act as if we have unlimited land, but we don't. We need to plan more carefully so that we use our limited land in the best way possible.
People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we don't, we will lose all the natural resources that we depend on for life. Then what will happen?

sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
I agree that people should sometimes do things that they don't enjoy doing. This is  a basic part of life. There are many small things we have to do in both our personal and professional lives that we may not enjoy, but that are part of our responsibilities. In addition, sometimes by doing things we don't enjoy, we actually learn to like them.
Most people's personal lives are filled with tasks that they don't enjoy doing, but they do them anyway. Who likes going to the doctor or dentist, for example? But we do this because we know that it is important to take care of our health. I don't know many people who like changing the oil in their cars or mowing the lawn. We do these things, however, because we understand that we need to maintain our personal property.
Similarly, our professional lives are filled with tasks that are not fun, but that are necessary parts of our jobs. No one likes to do boring assignments or to work with someone who no one else likes. If we're in management, we may sometimes have to fire someone. No one likes to do things like these, but if they are part of our professional responsibilities, we have to do them.
On the other hand, sometimes doing something we don't enjoy can lead to enjoyment. Simply by trying it again, we may decide we like doing it. For instance, we may think we hate to dance. We agree to go to a club only to please someone else. Yet, for some reason, this time we enjoy dancing. The same can be true of trying new food or going to a new type of museum.
Not everything in life is fun. Unpleasant or boring tasks are a necessary part of life. We don't like them, but we do them anyway. And sometimes they surprise us and turn into something enjoyable.

Art in Our Life

Art is an essential part of each state, city and person`s life. The word "art" has a set of definitions, characteristics and peculiarities but each person imagines and interprets it in a special way.
People sometimes ask questions, "Is Dali`s painting art? And Shakespeare`s sonnets?" and without hesitation or doubt they give a positive answer to these questions. "And is a sunset, combining inexpressible saturation colours, art? And the first smile of a child?" Every person has his own answer to these questions because each of us has a personal view of the world and we look at surrounding reality from different angles.
In my opinion, art is an imaginative reflection of reality, the main goal of which is interrelation of people with something wonderful, sensitive, interesting and beautiful, sometimes even unexplainable and contradictory. I think that cinema, painting, architecture and other kinds of art should arouse different emotions, feelings and thoughts in human soul and mind. Undoubtedly, the same work of art can stir up absolutely opposite feelings in people`s souls. For example, looking at the fresco "Last Judgement" by Michelangelo, the splendid and talented creator of the Renaissance era, in the Sistine Chapel, some people admire the beauty of conveyed images, other people think about the idea of world division into saints and sinners, someone thinks about the correlation between good and evil and this consequence of emotions and thoughts can be endlessly continued.
All kinds of art enrich our inner world and give us new knowledge about surrounding world. In works of art we see the author`s point of view on some situations or generalised knowledge of the creator, expressed with the help of artistic images. We can agree or disagree with the author`s opinion because each person has his own vision of the world and there is no right or wrong opinion - so many men, so many minds.
Art plays a great role in our life as long as it makes us think about significant problems and things, happening around us, till art excites human mind and does not leave us indifferent. Great classical writers such as Lev Tolstoy, Ivan Franko, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and others touched very important problems of mankind in their works: love and hate, war and peace, guilt and repentance, talent and mediocrity, friendship and betrayal. I think that dramatic plots, described in works of these great authors, will help people to revalue their attitude to life, warn and stop them from cruel, thoughtless or unfair actions.
Influence of art on people is great. It can make us smile or cry, love or hate, be glad or be worried. It can inspire or make us pluck up our courage when we are spiritually and morally broken. Art sometimes can be the only means, which can inspire a heroic deed or support us in a difficult situation. It was so during the years of war. People were morally exhausted and suffered under the burden of losses. And when there was no force to fight and there was no force to live, art gave confidence to people, brought into the atmosphere of ruin and panic some inexpressible atmosphere of warmth and care, gave people "second wind" and made them live again, love and fight for happiness. Soldiers went to the battle, singing military songs about feat of arms, honour, motherland, love and about native home, and feelings, arousing by these songs, overshadowed feelings of fear, horror and pain.
In conclusion, I should say that irrespective of kind of art and its personal perception, it occupies a very important place in our life. Art is also an essential part of life and it has a direct influence on us.
